CAPITAL DISTRICT YOUTH SOCCER LEAGUE AND SOCCER PARENTING ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP TO IMPROVE SIDELINE BEHAVIOR AND PROVIDE EDUCATION TO YOUTH SOCCER CLUBS
ALBANY, NEW YORK– The Capital District Youth Soccer League (CDYSL) and Soccer Parenting announce a partnership agreement to make an impact on youth soccer in New York’s Capital District. Soccer Parenting’s mission is to make youth soccer better. With emphasis on community, curriculum, and collaboration, the CDYSL and Soccer Parenting will carry out that mission by addressing sideline behavior with parents, coaches and administrators.
The partnership will provide access to the Successful Soccer Parenting Course and seven-day free access to the SoccerParentResourceCenter.com – a youth soccer parent and coach education platform. Additionally, the partnership with Soccer Parenting will provide CDYSL members with a discounted rate for club memberships and allow for the league to grant five clubs with a club membership on an annual basis for 501(c)3, not-for-profit clubs that serve under-resourced communities, to be determined by CDYSL.

‘We are excited to provide our clubs with a service to make youth soccer in the Capital District a better experience for our players, parents, and officials” said Jan Brown, League Operations Director of CDYSL. “We are partnering with Soccer Parenting to provide articles, education, and expertise gathered from best practices on communication, inspiration, and behavior at matches and practice. Respect for our referees and coaches, and tips for parents in stressful situations can make a great game even more positive.”
Providing a positive youth soccer experience where all children feel inspired, develop important life skills, and establish healthy, life-long habits must be a top priority for all youth soccer organizations.
“The initiative and investment that CDYSL is making towards positively affecting the lives of soccer players, families, coaches, and referees in New York State and it’s capital is commendable. We are extremely proud to work with the Capital District Youth Soccer League and are encouraged by their commitment to improving the youth soccer landscape for all parties.” said Skye Eddy, Founder & CEO of Soccer Parenting.
